KITCHEN TRANSFORMATION

This project involved the renovation of an outdated kitchen in a wonderful, Italianate mansion.  The owners desired to open up the kitchen while remaining within the existing the owner’s exterior walls, and to design a kitchen worthy of the pedigree of the house.  All interior walls were removed and the new kitchen was designed around the existing windows, steam radiators, an existing Butler’s pantry and existing plumbing chases.  A new central island with cooktop and stainless steel range hood became the central focus of the new space.  New kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, light fixtures and stainless steel appliances were installed as well as new hardwood crown molding and wood base moldings.  The wood floors were repaired and refinished completing the warm and inviting feeling desired.
