Leonard Residence

Located on a one-half acre lot in a park-like neighborhood setting, this Cape Cod transformed home is the result of an extensive remodel and addition to a 1948, mid-century ranch house. On the exterior, simple gable forms, well proportioned eight-over-eight double hung windows and new pre-stained shingles, combined with white trim boards, evoke the charm and warmth of a Cape Cod style home. Interior spaces were reconfigured to create open, flowing spaces. A new, modernized kitchen was relocated to the front of the house to take advantage of the views and natural light. A new master bedroom addition increased the space of an undersized master bedroom allowing for walk-in closets and master bath. A new dining room addition on the back of the house, with floor to ceiling and transom windows, emphasizes the connection of the inside with the outside with wonderful views and bathes the interior with light. All new exterior landscaping completes the front imagery of the home transforming it into a charming, inviting Cape Cod.
